WHAT IS SPORTCHAMPS’ TOURNAMENT BETTING?
With Tournament Betting, you aren’t betting on a single game or outcome. You compete over multiple legs against other punters. In the end, the prizes are divided up based on how you did. Easy!
HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?
Unlike traditional bookmakers, punters pay a tournament entry fee into a pool and then bet with virtual cash – called ChampCash. We have a 1 BET MINIMUM in each and every tournament, so those flukey “one bet wonders” need to find more than just a lucky winner with their ChampCash.
HOW DO I WIN CASH?
Whoever turns their 10,000 ChampCash into the most, over the duration of the Tournament, takes home the biggest share of the cash pool. Tournaments typically payout to the top 40% and 25%, but we also have “Double Up” and “Winner Takes All” tournaments.

WHAT THE FAQ?
How is SportChamps Different?
SportChamps is different for many reasons.
SportChamps isn’t a traditional bookmaker and we aren’t a fantasy sports game. We live somewhere in-between these two worlds and have taken the best parts of each one and merged them together.
On SportChamps, you play in tournaments. These tournaments work much like an online poker tournament, where you pay an entry fee and you are allocated virtual cash (ChampCash). Each player gets the same initial amount of ChampCash to place bets with on various events.
The events you are betting on will depend on the kind of tournament you decided to join as we offer a whole range of different tournaments. You can These include;
-
AFL
-
NRL
-
Racing (Horses, Dogs, Trots)
-
NBA
-
MLB
-
Soccer (Football, for those of you who are so inclined)
-
NFL
-
Combinations of the above sports
-
Much more…
Basically, we offer tournaments based on most of the major Australian, US and Euro sports leagues. So there is always something you will be interested in.
Once you have paid your entry fee and been allocated your ChampCash, the actual tournament play works much like the way you would bet with a traditional online bookmaker. You pick an event, review the horse running, teams playing (or whatever other markets you are shown), review the odds you are presented with and the form of the team/runner and then make a bet.
When you click the odds on the runner you want to back, you are presented with the betting slip (On the right-hand side on a desktop, on a mobile, you will need to click the betting slip icon up the top right). Here you simply choose how much of your ChampCash you want to wager on this outcome. You can bet a small amount or bet it all, that’s up to you. It’s the outcome of these bets you place that determines your place on the leaderboard.
The main difference between SportChamps and a traditional bookmaker is that for a small investment of $10, you may win yourself over $200.
Unlike traditional bookmakers, punters pay a tournament entry into a pool and bet with virtual cash (ChampCash). At SportChamps there is a FIVE BET MINIMUM in each and every tournament.
Whoever turns their 10,000 ChampCash into the most, over the duration of the Tournament, will take home the biggest share of the cash pool.

How's Tournament Betting Different?
At SportChamps, Tournament Betting is a mash-up of all your favourite online games, and a cheeky punt. It’s interactive, social and fun.
Unlike traditional bookmakers, punters pay a tournament entry into a pool and bet with virtual cash (ChampCash). There is a FIVE BET MINIMUM in each and every tournament.
Whoever turns their 10,000 ChampCash into the most, over the duration of the Tournament, will take home the biggest share of the cash pool.
Can I play for FREE, or are all tournaments paid?
There are daily FREE games that you can play. There are also paid tournaments that have a small outlay BIG payday.
What is Bonus Cash?
Bonus Cash is earned for various reasons and can subsidise your entry to a paid competition. Bonus Cash is money that you can use to enter tournaments with and covers 100% of the entry fee.
In SportChamps, you have a Bonus Cash and a Real Money (Main Balance) account. Real money you can withdraw, enter tournaments with and do as you please.
What is the SportChamps ChampCash?
Everyone starts off with 10,000 ChampCash in a tournament.
That ChampCash is specific to that tournament and is used to rank you amongst others, who also start with 10,000 ChampCash.
Use your ChampCash to place bets, in order to grow the amount you have and move up the rankings.
Your ChampCash doesn’t roll over and is linked to that tournament only!
What happens when I run out of ChampCash?
No worries mate, just re-buy to top up. You just have to have a balance lower than the minimum bet (250 in Racing and 500 in Sports) and have no pending bets.
What are SportChamps' standard tournament rules?
Tournament Betting is new. Meaning new rules. Fortunately, there are no lengthy Terms and Conditions pages in 4pt font to read through — all you need is this handy article.
Minimum Bet Quantity
All tournaments require a minimum bets, to ensure that people aren’t going in and placing all of their ChampCash on one outcome. Tournament Betting is a game, this makes sure people play it as such!
Sports Tournaments = 5 minimum bets
Racing Tournaments = 4 minimum bets
You need to have the minimum bet amount per rebuy AND entry. The count doesn’t reset on a rebuy, so if you’ve already had 10 bets on your first entry and you rebuy, you are still eligible for a payout. Just make sure you place another 5 bets upon every rebuy as a minimum. Handy tip that one!
Placing the Same Bet Twice
To prevent people circumventing the minimum bet rule, you aren’t allowed to place the same bet twice. For example, if you get ‘Old Mate’ to win race 4 at Rosehill at 4,000 ChampCash and decide you want to place an extra 1,000 down… you can’t, as this would count as another bet towards the minimum count.
Minimum Bet Amount
For any bets in the tournament, you will need to satisfy the Minimum Bet Amount, which is displayed in the information section. For all Racing tournaments, this will mean the minimum amount for each bet will need to be 250 ChampCash. While for Sport tournaments, the minimum will be 500 ChampCash.
Rebuys
Rebuys aren’t allowed in daily Sports Tournaments and are capped in Racing Tournaments, see the tournament rules for more information.
Lockout
As it gets to the business end of the tournament, the tournament gets ‘locked out’ meaning that no new people can jump in and no one already in the tournament can rebuy.
Can I play a private tournament with my friends?
Of course, you can. You can bet against your mates for a bit of fun and banter. You can also bet with your mates and form a team and verse other teams.
